Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced recruitment for 183 Class-I and Class-II posts. In this recruitment of GPSC, 73 posts of class-1 officers and 110 posts of class-2 officers are included. The application process will start from September 28, while the last date to apply online is October 13. Age Range
Candidate willing to apply in GPSC Class-1,2 Recruitment 2021 should have minimum age of 20 years and maximum age of 35 years. On the other hand, OBC, SC, ST, PWD candidates will get age relaxation as per government rules.
Educational qualification
To fill the form in this recruitment process candidate must have passed graduation degree or equivalent examination as per the resolution of General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat.

Salary scale
Selected candidates in GPSC Class-I will get salary and other allowances of Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/- as per Pay Matrix Level-10.
Selected candidates in GPSC Class-II will get salary and other allowances of Rs. 44,900/- to Rs. 1,42,400/- as per Pay Matrix Level-8.

Selection Process
A three-stage recruitment exam is conducted through a filter system for the selection of 183 posts out of lakhs of candidates. The first phase of the preliminary examination will be held on December 12, 2021, which will be a one-day examination.
Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be able to appear in the main exam. Main Examination Clerk will be called for interview after which the final list will be announced.
GPSC Recruitment Exam Pattern
GPSC Class-1,2 Recruitment Preliminary Exam Pattern

- Question Paper Type – MCQs
- Total Questions – 200
- Total Marks – 200
- Time – 3 hours
Thus the GPSC Class-1,2 Preliminary Examination of total 400 marks is conducted. The results will be released around January 2022. Out of which 15 candidates (approximately 3000) will be selected for the main examination out of the total seats. Which will be a total exam of 900 marks.

Three times the total number of seats passed in GPSC Class-I, 2 Recruitment Main Examination i.e. an estimated 500 to 600 candidates are called for interview. The interview test will be of 100 marks. Candidates will be selected out of total 100 marks.
GPSC Exam Preparation Guide
By seeing this advertisement lakhs of candidates will take part in this selection process. Many of them will take the exam for the first time. Those who will get less time of about 80 days. Thus, one has to work day and night to do justice to the syllabus of the preliminary examination, selecting three thousand candidates out of lakhs.
The GPSC Exam Syllabus is of 6 pages and includes History, Art & Culture, State System, Mental Ability, Economy, Geography, Science & Technology and Current Affairs.
However, the cut-off mark to clear the exam was 118.47 out of 400 last year. The cut off marks in various categories of reservation has also come down to 80.54 marks.
Total seats may vary according to paper level etc. But if you work hard for two marks a day with a target of getting 150 marks in these 80 days, you will crack the exam.
